I need to make a revision to one of the blogs I wrote about Bristol. Some of you may remember a post I wrote a few weeks ago called Free Family Days out in Bristol which highlighted some excellent freebie activities Bristol has to offer young families.
In the blog, I suggested whizzing your botty down the natural rock slide if you’re hungry for adventure whilst pottering round Clifton village and its excellent play area.
However, it has since come to light – as in, I recently road-tested the activity for the first time since I was nineteen (it seemed quite easy back then) – and I left feeling a tad battered and bruised. My error this time round? I hadn’t allowed for needing to grip on to a toddler, how fast and bumpy the slide actually is or the fact I’d had a back operation a few months ago..
Still great fun for older kids!
Have you got any other suggestions for things NOT to do in Bristol with a toddler? Shopping would also be high on my list…
